St Alice
An Auckland institution, St Alice is the spot to settle in on a sunny afternoon for a Viaduct view. It’s known for its oyster and champagne specials but has an equally robust reputation for turning quick catch ups into long lunches and late nights.
Rooftop at the QT
A summer favourite, Rooftop at the QT has become Auckland’s go-to for sunsets and sundowners. A not-so-classic cocktail list is offset by reliably-good service and the view of sunset over the Harbour Bridge. A favourite for starting the evening, you’ll also find an influx of patrons as they head up from the QT’s restaurant Esther, later in the night.
Reign & Pour
Head further down Quay Street, and you’ll find Reign & Pour. Evoking an old world glamour with a drinks list to match, Reign & Pour has become a favourite with the after work set and late night crowds alike. Sitting at the bottom of Commercial Bay, pick from a cosy booth or take a street-side seat for top tier people watching.
Wynyard Pavilion
Within a minute’s walk from Orams Marine’s hardstand, Wynyard Pavilion is a casual waterfront bistro, with a sun-drenched garden bar. With big screens to watch a game, and open from brunch onward, it has the feel of a friendly local which puts seafood and fresh produce to the fore.
Good George
Casual, relaxed and often screening the game of the day, Good George is the modern Kiwi equivalent of a local pub. You’ll find lots of outdoor seating, small batch-brewed New Zealand beer and cider on tap, plus plenty of good food.
Captain’s Bar, the Park Hyatt
All fireplaces, leather, and peaceful marina views, our Wynyard Quarter neighbour, the Park Hyatt’s Captain’s Bar, makes a perfect relaxed meeting point or great place for a quiet catch up. The terrace and its peaceful outlook is an inviting place to sit in summer and in true captain style, there’s more than 60 rums to choose from.
