We&#8217;ve got opportunities for experienced marine project managers to join our team. You might be current or former senior superyacht crew ready to bring your leadership and trade skills to a land-based role in New Zealand, or you could be a trade-experienced boat builder or engineer. 
 
Orams Marine&#8217;s central Auckland team looks after leading international superyachts, local recreational boats and commercial vessels. Our team works with state-of-the-art facilities and technology to deliver an excellent result for our clients, and we&#8217;re positioned on the shoulder of one of the world&#8217;s most-beautiful harbours. 
 
Within the team, we have project managers from a range of skillsets and backgrounds, including superyacht crew and careers from other segments of the industry, all brought together with a common focus on high-quality work, good trade knowledge and finding innovative solutions for the custom projects we work on.

The final countdown is on and the Molokai 2 Oahu will get underway at 8am Hawaiian time, tomorrow morning. Joe tells us he’s had a busy few days with race pick up at Duke’s Waikiki, packing his supplies, and meeting with his escort boat to go over his race plan. 
 
 
“Today was one last busy day, packing essentials to fly over to Moloka’i with tomorrow &#8211; and it’s a one-way ticket, so the only way back is to paddle.” 
 

Joe’s boards have been loaded up onto his escort boat to take to the start line in Molokai, where the race time has been pushed back to 8am Sunday morning, Hawaiian time. 
 

“Big thanks to the whole Orams Marine team, the support over here has been amazing and adds so much fuel to the fire.

Joe’s made good use of his last week before the race, fitting in some training paddles, getting logistics sorted and picking up his board stickers and paddling vest; Joe is athlete number 12.

 
“I’m feeling really good, preparation over here has gone very smoothly with the logistics so I haven’t had to stress too much about the admin side of things. Body feels ready to race, mind is nervous and excited at the same time.” 
 

“The wind has been blowing strong the past few days so there is forecast for a good crossing with some medium size swell. The second half of the race will be a battle against the tide.”
