Our 820 tonne marine travel lift allows superyachts up to 75 metres LOA the ability to haul out in the superyacht hub of the South Pacific. Operated by a skilled team, this 820 tonne travel lift allows Orams Marine world-leading capability, giving even the largest superyachts access to unequalled levels of specialised superyacht services in the region.

With a custom-designed and built cushion trolley to load share the weight of the vessel evenly, our superyacht slipway hauls vessels up to 600 tonnes displacement. Handling up to 5.2 metres draft and 13.5 metres beam, and up to 58 metres LOA, our slipway is also set up to allow the removal of larger items of equipment by cranes of up to 450 tonnes capacity.

Two 60 metre superyacht work sheds, and one 50 metre marine work shed, provide controlled environments to carry out high-quality work. Ensuring an excellent project result, our marine work sheds also protect the wider natural world by containing the materials used during application. It’s part of our ethos; total focus on quality, no sacrifice on sustainability.  

Our full-service Auckland superyacht marinas have deep water access and no air draft restriction, with space for berthing and work alongside. 90 metre marina berths allow for on-water work, and make it straightforward to access the many superyacht services that we provide. Each berth has numerous power connections that can supply shore power to meet the vessel’s needs.

Orams Marine's range of travel lift options, and 50 tonne transporter, is designed to cover all haulout requirements. We have 820 tonne, 85 tonne and 75 tonne travel lifts, and a 600 tonne slipway, together with a 50 tonne transporter, to give us a wide selection of options to haul all types of marine vessels. 

Orams Marine’s concrete superyacht hardstand facility has been designed to accommodate multiple large vessels. Equipped with the latest state of the art water treatment system that treats run off to protect the environment, our travel lifts also enable vessels to be positioned on our hardstand area with access to water and power, and within walking distance of all onsite trades.

This includes a 24 month TIE which exempts refit services and supplies from New Zealand’s 15 per cent goods and services tax (GST).

Orams Marine is an approved transitional facility. A range of secure storage lockers and containers are provided for secure storage of crew items and unloading of the yacht during refit. Orams’ team will also ship world wide and store incoming freight.

Servicing or replacing all major brands of engines or generator, as well as underwater gear including hydraulic, electric and magnetic thrusters, the team also specialises in drive train servicing and alignment, including shaft and prop removal, machining and refitting as well as bearing removal, replacement or repair and machining 

With exacting standards producing a compliment-worthy finish, the team of on site painters has undertaken repaint works on some of the most prestigious yachts in the world. They’re adept in the application of all major brands of paints, with a well-earned reputation for achieving a world class finish of superyacht painting.

New Zealand is known for its affinity with sailing and we’re proud to work with a team which will help you secure the best performance and stability from your rigging. The team are industry-leading riggers and spar makers, world-renowned in the design, construction, installation and superyacht rig servicing of carbon fibre masts, booms and rigging for high performance.  

A large team of fabricators is qualified to undertake any fabrication task. From the repair of small brackets and fittings to the manufacture of new tender chocks, storage racks, and replacement of frames and beams affected by corrosion or rust. They are certified to weld to Survey and work with all metals including steel, aluminium and Stainless Steel.

A skilled team of electricians and technicians are on-hand to advise on repairs, new systems, fault finding and repairing modern electrical systems in line with classification societies. These qualified and experienced tradesmen are able to offer advice on any potential upgrades to your electrical systems, from generation to distribution and through to automation and control.

Consult with electronic technicians experienced in servicing and repairing all major brands of navigation, entertainment and communication equipment. Installing upgrades and replacements in the yard and offering online trouble shooting from the Auckland HQ, keeps the onboard systems running smoothly should your equipment let you down at the wrong time anywhere in the world.

Everything within your HVAC system can be serviced to ensure reduced down time, and lessened risk of breakdown. Compressor servicing and replacement, as well as system re-gassing can also be carried out, by our team which is skilled in AC and refrigeration systems. The team services all major brands of air conditioning equipment and carry spares for commonly worn parts.

The cabinet making and joinery shop is fully equipped to manufacture or repair high quality timber joinery and furniture. From small interior touch repairs to refurbishment of cabins, it specialises in finely-crafted work which matches existing solid timber or veneered interior furniture stains, making alterations difficult to detect. 

We assist with all machining needs from the well-equipped machine shop. Skilled machinists create a broad range of solutions, in all materials from plastics to Stainless Steel. Arranging for the machining of shafts once removed, as well as line boring of tubes; milling, and horizontal machining, our onsite machine shop also plays host to CNC machining of complex parts.
