Curious about Orams Marine? We’ve answered some of the most frequently-asked questions.

What are your rates?

Our haul out rates are based on the LOA of your vessel and can be found within our Marine Services guide, here. You’ll also find rates for water blasting, lift and wash down, haulout for survey and daily hardstand rates.

For vessels above 30 metres in length, please contact our team [email protected] who’ll supply rates according to your vessel’s size and needs.

What size vessel can you haul?

We have multiple travel lifts within Orams Marine, and can haul out up to 820 tonnes. With 75 tonne, 85 tonne and 820 tonne travel lifts, and a 600 tonne slipway, we can accommodate most vessel lengths.

Where can I get fuel?

We have onsite fuel, with competitive prices. You’ll find our on-water fuel depot before our travel lift runway as your approach from the Boat Park side of Orams Marine’s complex. The fuel depot has automated fuel pumps which are available 24 hours a day, and is fitted with impact-absorbing fenders for safe and easy berthing in almost any conditions.

What is your current fuel price?

We keep our fuel prices competitive and regularly update them. See the latest price here. Our fuel depot accepts all major credit cards, Starcard and Eftpos.

I’ve got questions about service; who can I speak to?

Our project managers will be happy to help, get in touch with one of the team here [email protected].

Where can I find your health and safety information?

Head to our health and safety page, and for further information, please contact our onsite health and safety manager, Phil Cuff [email protected].

What do I need to do before I arrive at Orams?

Before your vessel is hauled, you’ll need to fill out our authorisation to haul form.

To enter the yard to carry out work onsite, you’ll need to fill out our yard induction form. For more information on what to do before you arrive, see our Before you Arrive page.

Where do I approach the travel lift from?

Approach the travel lift runway from the Waitemata Harbour. You’ll pass Silo Marina to port, while the entrance to Westhaven Marina will be to starboard. Continue, keeping Orams Marine’s three 90 metre marina fingers to port and once past them, you’ll find the Orams Marine travel lift runway. The approach is a no wake zone.

What insurance do I need in the shipyard?

You will need to hold third party liability insurance for the vessel and be able to provide a copy to Orams Marine on request.

Are there local shops nearby?

Yes, Orams Marine sits in the heart of Wynyard Quarter, one of central Auckland’s most popular hospitality precincts. Within a few minutes walk of the hardstand, you’ll find cafes, convenience stores, restaurants, bars, Auckland’s fish market, hotels and a wide range of short and long term accommodation.

Onsite, you’ll find the Orams Marine Store with a full range of consumable items including paint, anti-foul, sandpaper and other abrasives, brushes, masking products and protective clothing. Custom components from around the world can also be ordered.

Do you offer docking support?

Yes absolutely, we’ll be happy to help. Please let our team know when you book in with Orams Marine.
